TRUMPET KINGS CONCERT SHOW SYNOPSIS
TRIBUTE TO AMERICA'S GREAT TRUMPETERS
Starring Boston trumpet virtuoso Jay Daly
Jay Daly blows audiences away with his amazing renditions of all-time popular trumpet solos from the 20th century. Jay conceived and wrote this concert show to celebrate the work of the "kings" of the instrument who recorded #1 hits that continue to delight listeners. Louis Armstrong, Harry James, Bix Beiderbecke, Chuck Mangione, Maynard Ferguson and Herb Alpert are among those who Jay profiles in stories and song. Backed by the powerful New Hamphire Jazz Orchestra directed by Clayton "Skip" Poole, this show is geared to the tastes of Baby Boomers, jazz fans, and audiences who simply love great music. “It's widely known that Jay Daly is one of the premier trumpeters in the Northeast. His virtuosity is matched by his stylistic versatility, and he's a consummate professional,” said Peter Mansfield, orchestrator and arranger for The Boston Pops Orchestra." Harry James bandleader Fred Radke said simply, "Jay is a must-see artist."
